The National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) has collaborated with the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) since 2016 to provide a robust board certification examination which has led to more than 6,500 National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coaches that hold the NBC-HWC credential. The esteemed NBC-HWC credential represents training, education, and assessment standards, allowing for the profession to advance in all aspects of health care and wellness.

SAFM provide more than just more knowledge in a binder.  The training program delivers what other functional medicine education programs don’t: rich practical training.  Practitioners become capable and confident in applying the science and the principles in order to facilitate significant change for their unique patients or clients. The SAFM Functional Medicine Training Program is an ~ 2.5 year program (standard track; can range from 1.5-5 years) geared towards advanced Functional Medicine practitioners.
